Imagine Education takes great care with your personal and confidential information. This privacy policy outlines any personal or identifiable information we collect from you and how it is used.

Overview

We never give out confidential information (financial, emails, etc.) to third parties. All student information is kept confidential. We use the same encryption as banks for financial information and administrative passwords.

What information does Imagine Education acquire from you?

There are various types of information that Imagine Education asks for in order to allow you access to Ko's Journey. For example, we ask for student names for a roster, teacher and administrative emails.

We may need to collect additional information for technical support including billing and account information and the types of school internet and computer systems you use.

What does Imagine Education do with your email, username and password information?

We never give your email information out to third parties. Administrative passwords are fully encrypted. We cannot view these passwords, which must be re-set by the end administrator if forgotten. Teacher emails are used to send important updates and additional information.

Does Imagine Education have an opt-out option?

With any promotional emails, we always include an opt-out option. There are some emails with updates to Ko's Journey that are required for any account users and do not include an opt-out option. Student emails are not currently collected.

Why does Imagine Education use cookies?

Cookies are a small amount of data that allow Imagine Education to identify your unique internet environment that benefit the end-user including increasing the speed of the Ko's Journey application. Most browsers come cookies enabled, but Ko's Journey will not function well if your cookies are disabled.

How does Imagine Education use my financial information?

We use the same encryption that banks use for all credit card information. We never store that information for automatic future charges. All directly billing information is kept entirely confidential.

How is student data used?

We never give out student information (student names). Because student usernames and passwords are not encrypted, we have chosen to designate passwords in the unlikely event that this information is compromised. Data collected by students is low-risk and includes only pre-test and post-test scores as well as the student's progress. We do aggregate and publicly share pre-test and post-test scores.

Is the Chat feature filtered for profanity?

We use the very best the Internet has to offer for a profanity chat filter. Still we ask institutions to additionally disable any students who are abusing the chat feature. On the open home school or individual licenses, we take additional administrative measures to monitor the chat environment. Please note that we will close accounts if any abuse of chat is reported and verified.

How does Imagine Education comply with Child Privacy laws?

Imagine Education does not request any information that would compromise a student and does not share individual student names or data with third parties. Additionally, any communication with Imagine Education must be conducted with an adult (over 21). Non-account administrators are not allowed access to account information. Imagine Education's "Ko's Journey" requires all users and staff to be compliant with the Federal Trade Commission Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.
